Bowling banquet
Well today Nicholas had his first bowling banquet. Like father, like son. Nick was so proud. Nicholas has been bowling since January, even with a bad thumb. He is such a trooper! He received a trophy for a high game of 91!! Congrats Pork Chop!! We went with hopes of a pizza party (as promised) however, we were quickly disappointed with Tacitos, Mini Burritos and mini pizza pockets, and a foreign object we think they just fried because it was there. Needless to say, Nicholas enjoyed the pop and pre-made cookies. We also were entertained and greeted by "Roz" from Monster's Inc. (Not really, but the owner sure looks and sounds like her). Nicholas has made some great friends through bowling including Brandt, Payton and Kennedy. We plan on continuing to roll the rock and show the guns in the fall.

Is it Spring yet?
Well, here in Michigan, we never know when the nice weather is going to come about, so we take what we can get. Nicholas would be outside 24/7 if he could. He does not understand why it is so hard to get the brothers outside. Like he says, "Mom, I will just put my hat and boots on." I wish it was that easy. Needless to say, we did get out for a bit and the boys love the swing. We ended up getting another kiddie swing, so that the twins could both swing at the same time. Jacob would spend all day swinging. Aidan on the other hand is my busy body. He wants down fairly quickly after starting to swing, however, he does not want to touch the grass. That can make things difficult. But they sure enjoy to be outside. I know where my summer is going to be spent!!! That is fine with me. Now if I could just figure out how to keep them all together when we are outside once the twins are walking:)

Can we please go outside?
The twins always want to know what Nicholas is doing at all times. Well on this particular day Nicholas and I were outside cleaning up the yard and the twins were inside with Dad. As you can see, they wanted to come outside. It was a bit to cold for them, but Nicholas entertained them with the bubble blower. Which he decided to put right up to the window and spray and make a mess. But if it is not the bubbles, it is Buddy who slobs all over it!!!

Nicholas and his big boy bike
Well, we got the bike last summer and were pretty excited about it until we had a few spills on it and the training wheels broke. So Nicholas has been pretty scared to get back up on it ever since. He would be happy to sit on it, but that was it. We just could look at it from afar! Well, dad has been able to convince him that it would be cool to ride it. Nicholas, the brave one, got back on and has mastered it!!! He loves it and has even fallen quite a bit, but just gets right back up and keeps on riding! The easter bunny also got him a scooter and he is a pro at that too! It was a good thing it was cold over Easter. We were able to test out the scooter in the house. So alot of the early falls happened on carpet and not cement! But he is a champ and loves to ride and go for bike rides. Now maybe mom and dad can get a bike. Promise no more babies!!!!

Easter 2007
Easter was an eventful one to say the least. We just got our new camera and were so excited to get the Easter bunny surprises, when we, or should I say mom, realized that she forgot to charge the battery!!! So unfortunately we did not get any of the easter egg hunt at the homestead. But we have wonderful memories in our head! Nicholas had a great time and was kind enough to shake each of the eggs that he found and if it did not sound like candy he told us that those were for "the brothers". Little did he know that the Easter bunny left money in those eggs, how quickly he changed his mind once he found that out. After all of the excitement of the egg hunt and a limit to the amount of candy we could eat before 9:00 a.m. We headed down to my Aunt Pat's house for Easter brunch and another egg hunt. Can we say more candy!!!! The kids were troopers considering the twins only took a small nap heading down there. Then after that we headed to Nick mom's house for more food and candy!!! After a whirl wind visit, we headed home to rest and relax. Now I know why every parent looks frazzled on holidays!! Can we say three kids and chocolate!!!! The Easter Bunny has retired to his home and is visiting with Santa Claus and is keeping tabs on the Lesifko bunch!!!

And the cast comes off...
Well, today Nicholas got his soft cast off from his thumb surgery two weeks ago. He has done very well with it on. Very difficult to keep a soft dressing clean and dry on a three year old for two weeks, but we did pretty well! We hope to be all better and able to move the hand once off, but Nicholas is very hesitant to go see the hand doctor, since we kind of tricked him into the surgery. He was not to sure about the whole thing and every time we say the hand doctor, he thinks he is having surgery. So he will be happy to know that it is a painless appointment today. But here is a picture of what his had looked like in the cast. We still have to keep a band aid on it until the stitches fall out and we need to keep moving it so we don't have to do therapy. So that is my idle threat to him, so he has to keep it moving!!!! We shall see, he can be quite dramatic at times and this thumb thing, he could win an emmy!!!!
